Ramona Filip was born in Romania, but has been residing in Nicosia Cyprus since 1999. Despite lacking formal training in fashion design, Ramona possesses an innate talent for combining proportion, color, and fabric, as well as a natural ability to recognize quality and beauty, which quickly earned her a permanent place in the world of fashion.
Ramona's debut as a designer occurred during the summer of 2002 when she unveiled her haute couture collection "The Dream" and launched her label, RAMON FILIP. She has since organized numerous fashion shows in Nicosia, Athens, and London. In 2012, Ramona expanded her brand to include luxury leather bags made from exotic skins obtained from the world's finest tanneries.
At the Madame Figaro Women of the Year Awards in 2009, Ramona was honored with the "Best Designer of the Year" award, presented to her by Patricia Fields, one of the most significant style icons and an Oscar nominee.
Ramona currently operates her business from her studio in Nicosia, which has become a hub for evening dresses and deluxe prêt-a-porter. Her designs are timeless, stylish, and luxurious, emphasizing the female form through modern and uncomplicated designs.
